What makes God smile?
That”s an interesting
question isn”t it? When you think about it the answer is pretty important because we all want to make God smile.
That”s what my newest book is about. It”s called Listening to His Heartbeat –
What the Bible says about the Heart of God. It explores ideas from Scripture about the things that make God smile (and frown).
Listening to His Heartbeat was published in February 2009 by College Press.
Harold, after reading the first chapter, I can’t wait ot read the whole book.
Thank you so much for starting a website! I did not know about your site until I got a letter in the mail today from Stafford North. I look forward to hearing all the sermons you have posted when I get some time.
I deeply value and appreciate your ministry. –Clyde S.
Sounds awesome! I’ll buy it as soon as I can (as well as for others in my family). God bless.
Just discovered your website. Very nice. I look forward to getting and reading your book. Thank you for your work, ministry and friendship!
First of all congratulations for such a great site. I learned a lot reading article here today. I will make sure i visit this site once a day so i can learn more.
My wife and I have had the privilage of listening to Harold’s sermons and getting to know him on a personal level. I have found his writings, counseling, and sermons to be grounded in God’s word and a source of strength in my daily life. If anyone is looking for a personal source of strength, you will certainly find it on this website and any of his writings. I feel this type of site and information is so valuable especially during these times. Thanks Harold.
I taught a class this semester at ACU called “Ethics and Social Issues”…one assignment was to select a book from a list of 130 books to analyze. The first four books selected included:
Tuesdays with Morrie
Animal Theology
Children Mean the World to God (by Harold Shank)
The Morality of Adoption
I found this website trying to find out if I could buy
“The Word in Life Study Bible from Perry C. Cotham or
if anyone knew where I could find one for the price or
maybe more, but not for the prices I have seen
advertised? I found a New Testament edition, I love it
and I wanted Old and New Testament one.
I am now 84 years of age, just a few months ago
received my Doctor of Theology degree and will be
doing some teaching in the college from which I
received my degree. If you know of someone or where I
may secure a copy, please respond to my e-mail
address.
Thank you very much,
Sarah
Dr. Shank,
It was a pleasure to have the privilege of hearing you again. The material presented at the OC Lectureship on the subject of God’s Heart was superb – and provides a wealth of material for further study, teaching, and preaching. Can’t wait to read the book.
Shalom,
Jim M.(Harrah Church of Christ)
